Lydia's Thoughts on Crawling

This about sums it up. It is hard not to be frustrated as we watch friends' babies meet this milestone while Lydia is still just not particularly interested. Sigh.

  1. Love the pic of her yawning! So appropriate!

  2. I have those thoughts, too, but I work REALLY hard to quell them because I know in my heart and in my brain that babies develop at different paces. Heck, my husband didn't walk until he was 16 months old!

If you ever need a boost of confidence, swing by our blog and look at photos of our baby! The poor little guy has officially been 'left behind.' All of his buddies have transitioned to the mobile infants room (Butterfly Garden) while he's left with the non-mobile infants, the Cuddly Koalas. I guess he's stubborn!

  3. p.s. AND, Andy was talking with a pediatrician who is one of his patients, and she said that babies who are bigger for their age (in terms of height, weight, and/or head) tend to hit the mobility milestones later on. This was of particular interest to me since Drew isn't quite of the charts, but he's definitely up there! In fact, he's wearing a lot of 18 month clothes!

  4. Eli is interested in moving, but just hasn't figured out how to do it on all fours yet either. Maybe because we have hard wood floors??? He is monkey butt scooting though so he is minimally mobil. She'll crawl when she's good and ready:) By the way, she is sooo cute! Love the outfit:)

  5. I personally think crawling is overrated. It just scuffs up the knees.
